1968-1970 Bay Window 3.5" Drop Spindles

These TransporterHaus Bay window drop spindles are the ultimate way to lower your bay window bus.

If you have ever riden in a lowered bay window bus you will be shocked how good the ride quality is with these drop spindles.  Incomparable to a bay bus lowered with beam adjusters.

Designed and Manufactured in Cornwall, UK.

Precision machined not welded stub axle allowing fitment of the trailing arms from the under side giving a 3.5" drop and great ride quality.

No increase in track and will run with any size wheels including 14".

We've been testing balljoints from many manufacturers and finally chose one up to the job.  These ball joints are modified allowing them to be "locked" into the trailing arms.  This is in addition to the factory peening and friction fit.

100% unwelded, not made from 2 sets of spindles.  No farm yard welding on a forged spindle.

Includes 2 modified drum brake spindles and 4 modified trailing arms fitted with 4 new modified ball joints.

The ball joints we use are Heavy duty from the USA.

Track rods now fit from the underside to give extra chassis clearance.

How we make Transporterhaus 68-70 Early Bay ball joint drop spindles

We modify the ball joints and the trailing arms to include our own locking mechanism.  A spring ring expands into the trailing arm when the ball joint is pressed in locking it into place.  We have had over 15 tons on the fitted ball joints and have not been able to move them.

We modify the ball joints adding a locking mechanism for extra peace of mind.

After testing many different ball joints we came up with one up to the job.  Quality HD units which are made in the USA (not the Meyle one pictured above, which was used in testing).  If you are thinking of making a set of these for yourself don't use Meyle Ball joints!
